At Airborne, for our T&T (Tumbling and Trampoline) Program, we have 3 teams. They are Prep, State, and National
Airborne Academy’s T&T Prep Team is our beginning level team for kids who are new to trampoline and tumbling or the competition environment. This team is for levels 1-5 as they learn the fundamentals of gymnastics and how competitions work. These athletes will have structured practices as they work towards new skills and improving their routines. They can get a feel for competitive gymnastics before committing to our more serious teams.
Requirements:
How to get to state:
Athletes will start at the level the coach sees fit for them based on the skills they already have. They can move up levels once they have all needed skills for the next level. This is when they can show the coach a clean routine with form, or they have competed the previous level. Once they get to level 5, the coach will begin to consider them for the State team. Typically, the athlete has a desire to become more serious with their gymnastics. They want to advance in levels and learn more difficult skills. They want to become more competitive and travel to more competitions. They also are beginning to understand the importance of showing correct form and technique.
Qualities the coach looks for:
Airborne Academy’s T&T State team is our team for kids who are levels 5-7 and have a desire to become more serious with their gymnastics. This team will be more independent but still structured as they train more skills, form, and technique. Practices will consist of working on routines to prepare for competitions. This team's goal is to perform well at state and start thinking about competing in regional and national competitions.

They have a strong work ethic and come to practice ready to give it their all. They have strong goals for themselves and are always pushing themselves. They also have a good understanding of basic form and technique. They are willing to compete in regional and national competitions.
